Endless loop splice

OK - Same question but for 2 different ropes. What is the shortest length of cord that can be used to make an endless loop/prussic loop. I would like to use 8mm OP and 8mm bee-line. Hope this makes sense.

Honestly I'd recommend a grizzly splice for this application. There aren't officially published directions for end to end splices on either of those ropes. Go with grizzly and you can make the loops as small as a few inches.

What is the application?

Thanks Nick - I am just looking to slim down the prussic I have on the end of my lanyard that I use for girth hitching to branches, much like the ce-lanyard has. I have a few lengths of these cords and thought I would give it a try.

More out of curiosity - why would a class 1 double braid end for end splice not work on the 8mm OP? And would a 12 strand class 2 end for end splice work on the 8mm Bee-line?

Thanks again!

Yes you can do that, but it's hard to do in a double braid end to end splice.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the grizz is the best solution in this case.

I was thinking hollow braid. Sort of like those small red loops that the Treemagineer dudes are messing around with.
