Is this possible? Such as for the CE style thimble prusik?

Do you mean an eye2eye and a thimble at one end?

or

A locked brummel eyes and thimble in one of the eyes?

No. I mean a spliced version (instead of stitched) of what you find on the thimble of the CE Lanyard. Basically an end-for-end spliced loop, but with thimble threaded through 1st.

Hi, yes it is possible, look up 'andrews core to core' on youtube.

That will give you idea on how to bury back the cord, and if you look on samsons website you'll find an end to end splice.

You could with long wire fid do serious bury and that would need only a few tacks to hold under low loads.

12 strand, and think about double braid too.

its all about the buries and getting the taper and lengths spot on, that will be dependant on the overall diameter of the loop.
