Edge Saddle

Has the bridge for the Edge saddle (2012 model) been recalled. Also has anyone here used it? Any thoughts on it..

I bought an Edge when it first came out. Can't remember if it was 2012 or 2011. It had a very sturdy webbing bridge with sewn loops on each end to attach to the clevises. The bridge also had a Cordura cover which I liked, but some guys don't like because it makes it impossible to inspect the actual bridge underneath.

Anyway, I never heard about any recall. I switched it out to a longer Sequoia bridge because it was just too short. I would routinely find that my bridge ring had slipped completely over the rubber washer "bumpers" at each end of the bridge and even over the clevises if my rope was at an extreme angle. I didn't like that.

The Edge is sherrills version of the Buckingham Ergolite. There are several new styles out including one with a rope bridge and paw plates.

I have the 2012 version and haven't heard anything. Mines still good, inspect it daily. I checked sherrills site and didn't see anything.

There have not been any recalls on the Edge bridge. Did you hear this somewhere? Perhaps you're thinking of a different saddle?

Maybe it is another saddle. I am thinking about buying the Edge and I wanted to make sure that I didn't have to get a new bridge for it.

The cougar had a bridge recall but that's been resolved and the new ones have a webbing bridge now

The new one's have a rope bridge with paw plate attachment.
