Echo 590 question

I'm starting out small with the whole residential trimming and looking at buying a Echo 590. I need it to log down when I get to the bigger wood and do some flushing off at the ground on the removals. I have a 200t for when I'm dead wooding. I have a old and used up 291 that I use to mulch up the brush when it's on the trailer but it's not powerful enough to get the bigger work done. I'm thinking about the Echo 590 because the warranty, price and can get up to 28 inch bar. Anyone out there using this and if so what are the pros and cons? My other option is holding off for awhile and buying a a 362. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

The 590 is a great saw but I don't know how well it would do with a 28" bar. I'm sure it could get it done but just don't expect miracles. That's a lot of bar for a smaller saw, especially stumping. At the price point, the 590 is hard to beat for sure.

Check with your local dealer. Echo runs one-day, 20 percent off specials. You can save a nice amount on a new saw.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it!
Anytime. I have several Echos and all have been great. A 680 might serve you a little better for a longer bar but I don't really know what your budget is. Maybe give us a little more info. If you hit the 20% sale, a 680 could be a good deal. The 680 is more of a low-end torque saw which would be better for stumping( just my opinion.) I really like mine.

Well I've got $1000 to spare but I'm thinking of putting the money more into my trailer by putting in new wood, tires and putting walls up so I don't have to mulch as much. My budget is either fix my trailer up or work with what I have and buy a ground saw. @Brian72

I'd say the 590 will do you fine but I'd still compare prices. It's a fantastic saw at an amazing price. You can always upgrade later if needed. The trailer upgrades are definitely more important. If you're not opposed to buying a used saw, maybe check the tradin post. Good luck with your venture!

I'm always worried of getting something used because of the previous owner not taking care of the saw. I don't want to buy a saw then have it repaired. Thanks for the advice, it's appreciated
