Echo 2511 issue

So finally getting something going. Took longer than they thought to get set up with echo before they would look at it. Somebody called and supposed to geting a new piston and cylinder on it. I called the day before they decided on fixing it and the person working on it said he couldn't find anything wrong. Good compression and ran fine. Someone forgot to tell him it was the piston scratched. It's frustrating that somehow someone didn't do their job and a simple work order wasn't made or looked at that said 2 words "scratched piston". I'm not too crazy about others "testing" it for 2 tanks of fuel through it and not even knowing what their looking for. I've always done all my own saw repairs and this one being under warranty is the only reason someone else is doing it. Competence is questioned with errors like these. Anyways, should be next week when it's ready, had to order parts, so we shall see.

You know, competence is something attached to training frequency and turnover. If a place has low turnover, they probably have good competence. If they have high turnover, you don't know what you'll get, but it's likely to be fine if they have a regular training program. Your new place has yet to establish where they live along the spectrum, but definitely hold them accountable.
