Does anybody know how much of a PITA it is to buy something from Canada and get it titled/registered in the states?
mpatch; no PITA at all. We take care of all Customs paperwork for you. The only information you need to provide is your federal tax number as well as a destination address. That's it. I will be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Probably worse going from US to CA would be my guess.
I believe you're right. Since not so long ago, some US distributors did not even want to get involved crossing the border and some units were delivered on the very edge. For us, it is part of our life and many customers received their units already without a glitch. That said, it was from Canada to US. But as for us, we've been in trade shows to the US and never got any problems coming back.

That's a nice looking machine right there! I'd buy it for that price if I didn't own an identical machine!

Here is another reason why you need to choose your spider lift carefully. Not much talked about during presentation, but how important on a daily basis...
Deevo, any comments on this?

Is this an important point for you or not?
Thank you for your comments.

Any word on worker injuries or repair costs for the Easy-Lift inverted up in Barrie?
It was Midland a hack company flipped it into a house ! I talked to the Vermeer rep and he told me the whole story and I saw the pics!I think it's still in The process of going through it all. They needed a crane to get it upright and off the house ! They drove it along the side of a hill ( fairly steep) with no outriggers out ( at all!) dumb dumbs ! They are on the hook for all damages to lift and house ! Just skid marks on the workers unders!

Thank you Deevo for the information.

Here at UP Equip, we have never been officially reported anything regarding that accident. Off the record, we heard that a 70-36AJ has flipped sideways but no details, pictures or written report of any kind. As manufacturer, we need to be reported all accidents as by law, they are OSHA recordable events, especially if there is injury. All manufacturers of equipment of any kind, including ourselves and Easy Lift clearly state in the Operator’s Manual that accidents need to be reported within 24 hours to be able to properly investigate the causes, and take according actions if required not only for a specific accident, but for all similar and other units.

The Easy Lift units are all physically more narrow than tall. The 70-36AJ is 34.5 inches of width, therefore able to go through almost any openings, including the standard 36 inches gates. It is strongly recommended at all times to drive units with outriggers out and near the ground not only in slopes, but on any soil. Since it’s hard to know with certitude the way it’s been filled and how solid it is, might as well not take chances and unless on concrete, bricks or pavement, use the outriggers to prevent unit from flipping.

Thank you.
