I still can't believe how giant those nests are, that you can stand in one! The transmitter on the eaglet's back is huge! Great stuff, thx Steve.

Thats actually small nest. They are so big. One of the failed nests I had climbed a few years ago has great horned owls nesting in it. There's a second nest in the pictures less than a 1/4 mile away from the one I climbed. Also all this in the middle of an active great blue heron rookery.
