Dropping Dead Poplars

I definately liked the Dingo better. It was familiar feeling and easy to use from the start. The Vermeer wouldnt curl much weight but I think there was a problem as we found a leak at the pump when he picked it up. I tried the narrow and wide track Dingo. The narrow track left 1"-2" rutts and the wide track did not. There was also a noticable stability difference. The lawn was pretty wet. I think the choice would depend on how often you need to go through a gate. I am going to get the wider track in order to leave less impact. With the logs I moved the Vermeer was tippier. That was with me standing on it where the Dingo I walked behind. If the foot plate were on it the tip capacity would be slighty higher.

You would think that the vermeer could ride with more weight with you guys as the counterweighton the back, I guess not so. What was the price of the Dingo large track?

Whatever one you get make sure you van stand on the back of it rather than walk behind it.

No use wearing ya boots out is there? /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

yea which one did you like? On one of our crews we have a swinger and those things are sweet! It replaces like three guys. when I work on that crew I feel like I am not doing nothing cause the swinger does it all. If anyone was thinking about buying one you wont be sorry there is not a piece of wood that I have seen it not lift and take to the chipper it also has turf tires so no lawns get destroyed.
