Years ago, when I was to order all the gear for the crews, I would order 2 landyards for every climber trainee, my boss back then would question this and say why should I pay for 2 landyards for every guy? I replied, " you dont want anyone freeclimbing when in a tree learning and such right" he said how do you mean everyone else only uses one landyard. I said if they unclip to advance up and of course they dont have their climbing line tied to top yet, then when you unclip at that point you can fall, because you are not tied in. so use your other landyard to wrap above then unclip the bottom. also its another tool, i would keep one on each side, always do a visual of it cliping in, Visual I say not sound like others I have seen. Mostly I can maneuver in a tree nicely with one landyard as long as I am tied in high and such, someties double crotched in too. but on occasion that double landyard is used and I dont get confused at all! Pay attention dont rush and get comfortable. Positioning is everything!
