Double Daisy Rope

This is just like a laynard. Why use this when you have a laynard?

I have used this setup with the middle section of my rope when i need a third position setup, for a long sit in the tree. OR you can use the tail end of your rope for this also. Or when i am backpacking into a tree for a rec climb and i am taking the least amount of gear in my pack. (rope and a few biners)

I find it not that friendly for me and perfer a laynard. BUT nice to know you have your middle or end (tail) of your rope that can be used.

for me, sometimes it is just as easy to setup an other "traditional" tie in, (figure 8 on a bight, blakes hitch) it is better for positioning and moves a little bit easier then the Daisy rope setup.

jz - thanks for sharing and WELCOME to the BUZZ.

It's a rec climbing technique, not commonly used that I know of in the work climber world. As JZ mentioned it's a useful trick to make a quick adjustable lanyard midline using the tail of your rope if you happen to end up in a tree without your lanyard.
