Double Braid Ultra Sling

Is it possible to make an ultra sling out of a double braid line, or does it need to be made from hollow braid material?

That is a very interesting question. I am leaning toward hollow braid only.

Assuming the idea that springs to mind would even work, it would be so tedious and time consuming, I doubt it'd be even remotely worth it. You want it to be less snaggy?

Yea, I have no desire to do it. I'd sooner attempt an emptied out 16 strand, but then we're back to a hollow braid, and I am dubious

I can't imagine any version of a hand splice would be any less stiff and bulky. The buried portion of a spliced eye is rarely described as being supple

I’ve found the buried spices stay fairly flexible as long as there’s no cover. Putting two diameters of core in the cover is what causes the rock hard stiffening.
