A dog's owner found his missing 70-pound German Shepard, Luna, 25 feet up a tree. He believes she was chasing squirrels.

My buddy's pitbull, TWICE, got 25-30' up into trees chasing bears, and my current mutt was a champion level athlete in his prime, and could run straight up very steep, and relatively featureless rock faces if I threw a stick up onto a low cliff. Dogs are as amazing as any creature I have known.

Had a terrier when I was a kid. Would chase squirrels up a tree, where they would stop because they felt safe. That was until that dog grabbed them off the tree limb because it had gone right up behind the squirrel.
