I have a single on my MB. I only need three daisies to "chain it" up. Leaves the end at the middle of my thigh.Climbing around with those dangly ass tails all day would drive me crazy.
I used to have an open/closed saddle bridge setup so I didn’t have to step in at all. Just stand with both feet flat on the ground and throw it around your waist, connect the leg loops and bridge and off you go. It was a very long time ago with a cougar while I was waiting for the bridge recall to come through.I have a single on my MB. I only need three daisies to "chain it" up. I only go full length bridge to make it easier putting saddle on and off. Helps with my old injuries.
I had the same going on with my original MC rope saddle. I was using a non swiveling ART rope grab and a forged quickie shackle. The trouble was the ART was in the field of the bridge. I ended up not liking that and I restored the bridge to original. I think I had a thread on it ......I used to have an open/closed saddle bridge setup so I didn’t have to step in at all. Now mine shows $1092.95 Can) (15:31 Mountain on the 24th but my order confirmation showed $874.36 Can) - maybe it was a website fault?) They said they had a 20% off sale on the Homepage though and it still shows a sale for me now. Best of luck with this to all. Wow!Ghostice your link showed $1029.29 when I clicked it.
I can shorten mine (Mumford's RollnLock mod) under load by putting a prussic on the tail right above the termination knot and then the end of my long lanyard tail onto the prussic, and the lanyard in my foot ascender and standing up on it, to pull the bridge rope thru and also relieve some of my weight on it. Not very intuitive or something I have done more than once or twice, but it did work a few times.Just a question. Has anyone tried to shorten the bridge under load? How's that work out? Been doing a bunch of AR Training lately and teaching spar rescue. With the long bridges, I've been putting a prussic between the suspension d's for a connection point to get them up out of the flipline with MA if necessary. Being able to shorten that bridge would be a great option if you could do it, I suppose it would necessitate you being on the side of the adjustment for the injured climber. Thoughts or observations?
Appreciate the info. Petzl has some video online of a rolling technique to shorten their adjustable bridge. Think, while suspended, pivot to the opposite D of the adjuster, grab the bridge tail, and hip "thrust" or rotate while taking up slack. If any of that makes sense...Appreciate the info. Thank you.
