Dead White

Location
Chicago
This White Oak is really dead. Some of the horizontal limbs are 6' to 1' from the home. I took a ride to set the rigging on the first cut. Crane is 40 ton.

I took a gamble to see if I could rig these limbs so the would not move. Some times I wood cut the limbs above the home, on this day I was feelin it.

For the next cuts we needed the jib. He was good for 1,700. I gave him 1,500. The top was really dead and I was scared to tie in high. Derrick was on the ground so I had him set the rigging for the cut. He did a great job. I did not have to tell anything. He just asked "where are you gonna cut it". After that cut Derrick finished the tree and I took off(had tons of things to do.) I forgot to leave my camera.

would you consider talking about rigging with cranes, static loads and use of spider legs etc for the Ky conference. Don't have any details as of yet , but if you are in the least bit interested, I'd contact you with all pertinent information. It would be mid October. Oh yeah, "you da man"

The trunk was taken in 4,000lbs. pieces. I think there were 4 aerial cuts and one ground cut. Crane was good for 4,8000lbs.

Nice . Both neighbors pay ? around here a tree in the middle of houses gets that dead cause both nieghbors are hoping the other one pays . How can you let a tree get that dead over your house ?

Hey Riggs how's it going? I get the same type of people downstate from Todd. They say things like: "I thought it was going to come back and live", "It's a few inches more on his side of the line" and my favorite "I never look up."
