Davey Tree Worker Killed last week

My thoughts are out to his family...TMW whats the fatality count at so far this year? It seems to be a bad start to the year for our industry.

Dang. That sucks. I wonder if someone made a mistake with their notch or the man who was struck, was in the "kill zone."

Why don't the reporters get a full understanding of these accidents and communicate that to the public? I wish they would communicate these better.

My employee came from Wright Tree Service here in Boulder. His foreman didn't know how to notch trees. The guy snap cut a large tree expecting it to fall the way he wanted it to. My employee said it became a "run for your life" situation!

The thing that bothers me is this guys claims to be in the industry for 10 years.

I've counted 6 so far myself, but Tim would be the one with the up to date number.

My prayers to his family.

Head wound? Was he wearing a hardhat?

Dam!

I heard he was working storm work and was in the process of cutting the tree off the telephone line when it shot back and hit him. Not able to verify this.
