This is actually the homeowner doing the tree. The only experience he has at cutting trees is he removed one out by the road in a similar fashion a couple of years ago, but it was not that tall nor was it between 2 houses. One of which is his. He is a very educated man, some kind of engineer....but dumb as a mole. And no I am in Indiana, the tree is a cottonwood. I do not know the specific genies.

The "string art" is a hard lay Kermantel rope that he got from the local fire dept. That should be nice a cushy for a lowering line.

So what's he gonna do... head those leads off at the top of the ladder? ...er, no, wait, I know! He's gonna tie another ladder the the top of that one so he can pitch the tops.

Oy!

my friend was in jacksonville (he lives there) and about 11 months ago he went buy a "tree guy" doing a job similar to this one (with similar home depot ropes)

later eh draves by and teh notch cut is made but there is no one around.

turns out that the guy somehow cut himself out and died.

he was 50 somthing without a wife.

you know....... the funny thing is that i have a real tendency to get cocky, resentful, and or prideful because of goof balls doing stupid stuff.

but the fact is......... I did some stuff equally as dumb when I first started.

I am so thankful I survived thoe learning experiances.
