Crane removal White Ash

Location
NJ
Here some pics of a large ash we took down a couple weeks ago. Homeowner spent the day like a photographer taking all kinds op pics. They were nice enough to send us a set. Thougt I'd scan a couple and post them. Reason for removal, look at the first picture to the left at the base. Plumber came in to put a new sewer lateral in and dug up so many roots that he didn't have enough dirt to fill in the hole. The township brought to her attention the severe damage done. Even brought in a NJCTE for a inspection and report. It's ashame: tree was just deadwooded last year and was the largest ash tree in town. I believe there is a large law suit pending. Removal was well documented.

8th laying it over. Last pic. Notice no rot. What a shame. On a good note we had our mill guy at our house and made lots of 4/4 and 5/4 boards. Lumber was sold to a guy that rebuilds antique cars. Choice of wood at that time was ash and poplar. So he could't be happier. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
