Covid Close To You

for those provaxxers that were fooled by the propaganda, let this be a consolation... the Feds had to spend a billion dollars to sucker you into taking that death shot... you're not easily bought...
The only guarantee in this life is death, and I'm alright with that. The big question is how many do you take down with you, I'm happy to say I know I haven't infected a single person yet.. Beyond that, this sucker is using the best available science at the time...

I don't know how you can sustain with absolutes in your life, do you really need to polarize you thoughts like this? "sucker you into taking that death shot" this absolutism and bulling about ones beliefs, personal ethos, and morals is amoral and downright fighting words at this point in history.

No, that is exactly the same. Two separate and individual
observations are just that. They may or may not have anything to do with what actually happened.
anecdotal evidence coming from a arborist forum? Hell, this entire profession is based on anecdotal evidence the majority had held up to the test of time but we learned topping is bad....

I would debate that, however, if you read my post you quoted, in context, it is merely correcting a misleading statement. I have nothing against information and knowledge gained through anecdotal data. Just understand what it is and is not.

In a case from 2019, an unvaccinated 6-year-old patient of Thomas's developed acute tetanus after sustaining a deep wound on his scalp. He spent almost two months in the ICU at Oregon Health & Science University's Doernbecher Children's Hospital. During his stay, the patient required intubation, a tracheotomy, and a feeding tube, according to the suspension order.

Guess ol' Doc Thomas' badge of honor comes at a cost.
Mostly costs big pharma the millions they would have made from all those permanently damaged children, needing epi-pens, psych drugs, asthma meds, steroids for aurto-immune diseases, and all sorts of other drugs used to treat the illnesses caused by their poisons.

Anecdotal evidence is good for one side, but not the other. Anecdotal evidence Trumps data and science and statistics for many. Therefore, I can be right in my own mind with my own data, just like them.

Of course not! The idea that there exists in corporate America, or in a government institution, a group of altruistic and all knowing people capable of determining the truth for us is disturbing and absurd.

Very totalitarian and neo Marxist.

I presume these people would have to demonstrate fealty to wokeness? Be engaging in CRT and serve the interests of their corporate masters? They would be postmodernists so they would believe that there is no such thing as objective truth but only the narrative of power.

And then they would enforce fact checking.

Just watched the latest video from John cambell.

Prophylactic use of low dose ivermectin results in approximately 70% reduction in hospitalizations and deaths and a 48% reduction in infections.

Daniel could have saved millions. He would have vastly out performed Fauci.

Is that a sobering thought?

Dave,

I'm dumb. But the math seems complicated.

48% reduction in infections with "very small dose" of ivermectin.

This leaves open the possibility that a larger dose could be more effective.

Leaving that aside.

The harm reduction seems exponential.

Most of the people who died or became ill would not have died or become ill.

Like so many other medical professionals that believe saving
lives is more important than finding clever ways to discredit those efforts, John is an obvious victim of scientific misinformation... said with tongue firmly in cheek.

Sorry to interrupt the conversation. Brother in law's mother didn't make it.

Mask mandate locally lifted. Nth wave is on its way, same old, same old. Except some people figure no masks is ok now even though the disease is still thriving.

Welcome to the new normal.

I apologize for projecting these thoughts onto such a narrow audience who probably don't need more words on the topic than are already out there. Particularly because stirring up the topic alienates people who would be considered fellow tree workers, brethren. Apologies again.

What are you guys’ thoughts on the fact that they are now recommending a second booster (4th shot)?

I’m a little unsure about it. I mean I understand that some vaccines don’t last forever like the flu shot for instance which is yearly, but this is a new vaccine and that’s a lot of shots in the span of a year.

There hasn’t really been any long-term studies done on the vaccines because they haven’t been around long enough has there?

Also, the WHO spoke out saying trying to “boost our way” out of the pandemic isn’t a reliable strategy. For one thing there’s some countries that haven’t even had their first doses yet.

Now I don’t want to sound anti-science because I’ve been extremely cautious throughout the pandemic, still wear a mask indoors, and I’m vaccinated, etc.

But I can’t help but wonder, is the push for boosters because it will draw less political backlash than sticking to the things we know work to reduce transmission and save lives like wearing masks, etc.?

Sucks to even think about because this is supposed to be a healthcare issue but the reality is it’s just as much if not more political.

Thoughts?

i think that ending the subsidies for high fructose corn syrup would be a more productive way to tackle this problem. end diabetes, obesity, cancer, and covid with one act. make a lot of wealthy farmers in Iowa pissed so it will never happen.

You are young and I presume healthy? Everything is pointing to this virus becoming even more contagious, endemic and far less lethal. Getting a vaccine booster will do nothing beneficial
for you at this time.
