For those that have used Kalimba, what's the closest rope you've found to it that isn't Kalimba?

Kalimba is the slim 16 strand right? something about that does have a certain appeal, but I would like to be able to get a short hank for a lanyard. For those that have used Kalimba, what's the closest rope you've found to it that isn't Kalimba?
It's actually an 11.9mm double braid. I've been climbing on it for the past few months and quickly fell in love with it, but it's not cheap.Kalimba is the slim 16 strand right? something about that does have a certain appeal, but I would like to be able to get a short hank for a lanyard.
Great choice.I would encourage a guy to try the All Gear 11.8 all poly stuff. Good rope at a fair price.
Kalimba is the only rope I’ve found that works MRS and SRS with zero adjustments to my Akimbo. Awesome for crane work and all around for that reason alone. Seems to be rugged too.For those that have used Kalimba, what's the closest rope you've found to it that isn't Kalimba?
How does that compare to Tachyon?I would encourage a guy to try the All Gear 11.8 all poly stuff. Good rope at a fair price.
I was a Tachyon guy since it came out until I tried Kalimba a few years back. I would say Kalimba doesn’t seem to gain as much increased diameter or smoother feels as it wears, it has a bit less elongation %.How does that compare to Tachyon?
I haven't gotten to try Tachyon, so I can't say.How does that compare to Tachyon?
Are there any other ropes you could compare it to? Any Samson products or XStstic or Blue Moon?I haven't gotten to try Tachyon, so I can't say.
What’s your multiscender on Focus?I'm loving "Focus" by Yale. 11.7mm special run from Wesspur. It's on sale right now. Still like Kalimba but like Focus more.
25 1/2"
I'm back at it for sure. I am retracing my learning with a specific goal in mind. I am basically sticking to MRS with the type of work I'm doing and am really giving the hitch based climbing a chance to shine. I'm learning how to play around with those combo's rather than just being frustrated and jumping to a mechanical. It's fun. Learning all the processes I skipped in the beginning during the self taught period. Working with some guys who are students of MRS is really a cool experience. Sometimes I'll work up the tree to my anchor on SRS and then finish the work moving. It's fun. I'm finally relaxing enough to enjoy the climbing and the movement in the tree. The pressure to perform is slowly subsiding. It was really always in my own head anyway. Shortening a hitch cord by 1/2" actually makes a huge difference. Who'd have thunk it......... I thought not having sewn or spliced eyes was just cheap. It's so not. LOL. Thanks for noticing. My dude! Sounds like you're real dialed in again.
