Hello. So then you would recommend this saddle? I'm looking into buying my first gear and I like the Weaver line, they look well made and are reasonably priced. The local supplier only stocks one model so I'm trying to get as many opinions as I can. Thanks.

Yes, the Cougar is a great saddle, especially when you get it adjusted. Just make sure you get the right size. Weaver seems to have sized the Cougar a bit bigger, so be careful when ordering the size.

barnhouse, pm me and ill tell ya a couple of the "hot spots" to buy gear from around here, im guessing you probably go to eds rental, its okay but more suited for rentals.

also i will be setting up a rec climb in a couple of weeks so you can try my treemotion and treeflex and bfll if you would like, i also have an old weaver somewhere...

congrats ranger, glad i didnt offset the thread too much, well, til now i guess

for those in jersey reading about the rec climb, i am going to try for either the first week of november (doubtful) or the third week of november, probably that saturday (much more likely). i am still looking for a good tree or place with multiple trees to house a couple of climbers (as of right now, probably around 5) i have a MONSTER white oak that can be climbed but ill have to check with my friend first. all who are interested should either pm me or post on the forum, actually, now that i think of it, im going to start a forum in the rec climbing thread, see ya there weiners!!!
