Core strand as whipping twine

I've used one of the three inner core strands of Tachyon for whipping. The 3 inner are Blue, and I think it looks great on the Orange/Blue cover.

I'm doubting even the longest cover taper strand would be long enough to whip with, but it should be plenty for a lock stitch.

I would just be hesitant to say "any" core strand would work. Most 16 Strand core strands that I know of, and most 24 Strand braided core strands might be too thick to even fit in a needle without unraveling them a bit.

In some of his directions, Brion Toss shows a neat way of pulling a strand at your first mark, letting that pulled strand BE the mark...then at the end bury up to that strand, then use the tail to lock-stitch the splice.
