Compact Bulldog Bone

John has one of the new Bones with the shorter pivot length (1-3/8")

Treevet will receive one of the new bones with the 1/2" bollard for Vortex.

What we need is a list of centerlines and bollards and such. We could certainly make a cheat sheet to help users with different variations. If you want to try it I will put the info together. Here is my first thoughts on the info needed.

1: Rope name, size and color (since that seems to matter on some ropes)
2: Your weight (no gear since most people know that)
3: Upper arm dimension between pivot point and link
4: Lower arm dimension between pivot point and link
5: Bollard size

Any other thoughts?

Gordon could answer that better than I can, but it is shorter than the previous version. Not sure if that means it is compatible with Vortex though...

Exactly, I went and measured it!

Something that should work for DdRT, but I have yet to try, is a prussic on the standing (bridge) side of the line with a small dog lead type clasp girthed on the prussic which can be clipped into the brass D-ring.
the new bones have a small groove in the spine to allow for better slack tending (and ascending) with a fatter rope.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking, but want to make it as slick as possible. It's gotta have that "phak-tree" look and function. :)

Rope condition? It seems that a brand new Bone might be tight on an old line until the Bone breaks in. That can make a difference.

If you look at my post back on page 90 I have a photo of the spine contour.

Or I guess I could just repost it here...

So it looks like you're on the bomb ticket. With your size, it seems like you're a good candidate to progressively downsize the line and upsize the bollard to find some combos (within financial reason, of course).

I think you're good Tico. If they made the video public and didn't want it passed around, shame on them. Cool vid BTW. That's not far from where I live and work.
