CMC SPIDER LIFT MANDATORY REMOVE FROM SERVICE

I was about 8 the first time I ever welded. My ‘instruction’ was minimal, wear a hood yada yada, this knob does this, that knob does that. The. My dad left me with a box of welding rods and a chunk of rail road track. Admittedly it didn’t look as good as these welds, but now that I know a wee bit more, any functioning adult without any skill or training should be able to replicate these!

“Built for Severe Duty work.”
Built for a person to go up and down in and out period

Now severe work being performed out of sure
Setups in extreme places

These should have the least amount of stress
Lifts go up and down with let’s just say 500lbs

We all know how much chippers go through

Loaders and mini’s lift 2k lbs and more

Stumpers run wide open and IMO get beat up the most when running
Luckily we only run ours average 20 minutes a day (stumper)

Problem is that the the demo isn't what you getting, you pay first and they ship the machine for you, ones you get it is no return policy even the financing company tells you that when you sign papers.
If folks would simply stop purchasing their products they would either remedy their gawd awful welding practices, or they would cease to exist as a company...
Is not like buying at Wal-Mart return policy. Problem is that the the demo isn't what you getting, you pay first and they ship the machine for you, ones you get it is no return policy even the financing company tells you that when you sign papers.

No doubt about it
But I trust our lift
2 of us do daily inspections and know of many machines used daily with tons of hrs and only with maintenance issues and a few sensors (which IMO are maintenance on these machines)

So this machines are made in Italy, they are supposed to be in compliance with the government entity for US import.
That means that branch of the government directly or indirectly is saying that this machines are safe to operate in the country.

Everything is not a conspiracy. Some explanations are much simpler.
Yes, simple explanation is that they were never inspected. Even at the factory.
Undercut welds, under filled welds, inconsistent weld profile, porosity, inclusions. It's hard to believe that somebody wasn't getting paid to look the other way with such shoddy work. Either that or CMC just plain doesn't GAF.
