Hey Glens
The ADSL2 is rolling out nice here.
Hows this, 24mbps downstream and 1.5mbps upstream.
Also, our local district (200 square kms) has a new wireless internet service available, just hook in, it runs at 3mbps downstream and 512kbps upstream. This was a joint venture between comms people and council due to the useless arrogant monopoly Telstra not getting ADSL into more homes and completely denying new suburbs access and not upgrading their exchanges. A smart break thru and it allows you the freedom of not having to worry about wires. Screw Telstra, we now have wireless if you need access.
Now I'm on ADSL1 and paying more for 512/512 plan and on the waiting list to change over.
Also, the new wireless service allows 40gig of bandwidth and is $20 per month cheaper. You just have to shell out $200 for a roof aerial and fitting.
