Climbing boots with Safety Toe

@dtreez

I have no direct info. Here's a link or two to some old threads that might be helpful.

Haix protector ultras ain’t bad….. may be a touch too wide for tight crotch situations…. If I know I’m pruning all day, I usually wear my evo 2s, but those aren’t safety toe.
Their AirPower XR200 fits the bill a little better. I think I’ve had about ten different boots for tree work and those are the first I would buy a second time. I won’t be using them nearly as much now though so I think they’ll last me quite a while.

Had the Protectors, they are heavy for getting out there.

I have loggers that I wear with climbers, but for everyday outdoor work I wear Interceptor tactical steel toe boots from (gulp) Walmart. They've gone up in price to $34.48. Unlike many boots, they're wide enough for me and last as long as much more expensive boots. Very comfortable as well.

Once, I was in a pinch for some boots and bought some from Walmart that quickly disintegrated. Almost swore off buying any footwear from Walmart. But the Interceptors are such a good value I'm on my third pair. I do a lot of other stuff besides climbing that's really abusive to boots, so it's nice to not worry about ruining expensive boots.

(I'm not a Walmart fan. I very rarely buy anything from Walmart other than groceries.)

I'm a little late to the party but I highly recommend Keen work boots. They have a bunch of different models of hiking style work boots, exceptional grip and comfort. They don't last long if you're using them for production work but they are priced accordingly.
