Royal Tree Service is a small, busy and well-respected company that has been providing ISA-standard tree care throughout Montreal’s West Island for over a decade. Our employees are career-oriented arborists and ground workers with genuine interest in tree health, taking pride applying the safest & most efficient practices in arboriculture. The majority of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals, for whom impeccable customer service and respect for property is essential. Royal Tree Service maintains a positive and supportive work environment, sharing the work until the job gets done– no ego-trippers or junkies here. We are expanding to a second crew starting in April 2014 in order to keep up with demand.
Duties
Tree health & safety assessment, pruning, rigging, takedowns, cabling, tool maintenance, groundsman duties, customer service
Skills / Requirements
• Career-minded arborist; either an experienced climber or recent graduate with genuine interest in tree health and enthusiastic to take on responsibility in a fast-growing company
• Willingness to work 8-10 hour days in difficult weather conditions
• Reliable & positive team player
• Valid driver’s license & cell phone
• Bilingual (English & French) an asset but not required
• Sales experience or interest in learning sales an asset
• Drug-free & Non-smoker
Season
• Monday to Friday, April to December
• Statutory holidays & a week off in both June and August
Salary & Benefits
• Fully insured; all employees covered by CSST
• 15 – 25$/hr, based on experience & responsibilities
• Continuing education in all aspects of arboriculture provided throughout the season by ISA Certified climbers
