Christmas Presents from wood!

I'm cutting random burrs and and weird pieces of timber from my wood collection to give to people for Christmas.

I may write messages on them like 'Love the trees' and 'Trees mean life' in gold ink.

It gives me a warm sense of self fulfillment doing this as it means I dont have to fork out any money for presents.

As professional arborists...is this an ethically correct thing for me to be doing?

Is anyone else doing anything like this?

Its very eco friendly you know.

I think its a great idea AxeKnot, I've given several "cool"
pieces of driftwood I collected over the years away as gifts. Rounds of cedar with words burned into them have been a hit also. One last Idea that I haven't done yet was
to take some notches, paint them, and give them away as door stops.
