Just ordered a Saami or Lapland bracelet for the girlfriend. Jewelry that a tree guy would like and under $100. Braided wire, reindeer leather and antler button. Trendsetting, traditional, handmade, reindeer, fair price. Could even make them yourself for everyone next year.

If your interested there's a couple docs on the Saami. Trying to herd reindeer with logging encroaching on their grazing. I didn't know much about them but now I feel like I ordered direct from Santa's frickin' elves. Ho ho ho.

I've been looking at everything Saami lately on the net. They made some nice burl cups for another gift idea. Lots of similarities with Canada. Just on the other side of the planet.

The custom made bracelet arrived from Denmark already. It's totally awesome even to a non-jewelry guy. There's a link to the one I ordered. This lady had stitching inside like a baseball and my girlfriend is thrilled.
