chipper use on "This Old House"

chipper use on \"This Old House\"

Did anybody else see the crane removal on "This Old House"? Pretty funny (scary.) First, a contractor told the homeowner she needed to have three trees removed from her back yard. Then, they brought in an arborist (I don't think I can list a name) flash his name accross the bottom of the screen, they then show a couple of shots of the tree being taken apart. Then, they show the ground guy look right at the camera, hop up on the feed table and start shoving in brush with his foot! Totally unbelievable!

One would think the TOH lawyers would check with stuff like that. What if someone does it and says they saw it on their show. i think about liability too much!

Re: chipper use on \"This Old House\"

I get TOH magazine and this month's issue had an article about a crane removal in Massachusetts. Is this the same job? There was a picture of the climber tied into the hook while cutting the trunk that was also hooked to the crane. His tie into the hook was also the only point of attachment. I could be wrong but it sure looked like he was gonna ride the load. In the same article there was a picture of a "arborist" doing Mauget injections of Bidrin while wearing shorts and short sleeves.

yeah, that sounds about right! they didn't show much of the guy working in the tree, but there were a couple of points when his only attachment was to the crane.
