Following the disputes regarding the importation of foodstuffs into Japan (China's largest trading partner) is interesting, the citizens are powerfully and effectively being proactive about what they suspect is no good and the merchants are listening. They're not being unreasonable either - farm goods have been shown to be tainted and some medical issues have been brought to light, resulting in nationwide boycotts but the government of Japan is warning it's people the issue might 'upset' other trade agreements.
Too bad.
If only America's people wouldn't be so gullible to ad campaigns and were concerned about important issues aside from who gets kicked-off American Idol or what a candidate's preacher feels is unjust, we might not have fallen victim to WalMart, Cheney, and Wall Street, who can do and say anything they wish to paint a pretty picture about and we buy it hook, line and sinker.
The Taliban is looking more reasonable that Western addictions lately.
