Chainsaw Protection Footwear

OK, so I’m looking for a good chainsaw protection boot that can be used for climbing (pruning work) too. One that preferably doesn’t have a tall logger heel on it, or is super heavy.

I have a good pair of chainsaw protection boots right now, but they are kind of heavy for pruning work, which I seem to be doing a lot of lately.

My pretty green ASOLO’s are a good pruning boot, but I just feel more comfortable in chainsaw protection footwear.

Any good recommendations? I don’t mind ordering overseas if necessary.

As you mat know hear in the U.K we have to climbing in chainsaw protective boot all the time and most of us if not all dont find this a problem.

At the moment i have some HAIX trekker mountain. very happy with them but if you want a lighter boot have a look at the HAIX protector light boot.

Google "haix factory seconds" for a cheaper option.

I don't like to prune in my Labonville Logger style chainsaw protective boots, at least on thin barked trees.

I did look at the HAIX trekker mountain boot and they don't look too bad. Honey Bros. has some decent HAIX boots.

The Labonville factory is just a short drive North of me, but I would never prune in any of their logging boots if I could avoid it, they are just too heavy for my taste.

I avoid wearing those boots unless I'm spiking. I would like a good all around pair of ground/ pruning shoes. I sometimes switch back and forth a bit, but I always feel like Mr. Rogers, and its a hassle.

Put out a review if you get some. Feet are important.

I think that I've decided to go with thw HAIX Protector Light Climbing Boots.

They look like a VERY good chainsaw boot, both on the ground and while climbing.

I'm still shopping around the different UK and EU tree sites to find the best price.

I bought a pair of Meindl Airstream protective boots from treeworker.co.uk
The shipping was very reasonable, I can't remember how much, but it wasn't bad.
I love my boots by the way, they are great for climbing and seem to be very longlasting, they still look great and I've had them for 9 months.
