Chainsaw pants and climbing

Thinking about this..since my chaps have full wrap, I should. If I’m done climbing and on the ground, then why not spend the extra 60-70 bucks.
More rational is the saw pants are your work pants. If you add the cost of chaps to your work pants it tends to level out a bit. Granted chaps last a lot longer.
I still will wear chaps if it’s super icky or I know I’ll be kneeling

the only complain about clogger zero‘s i have is that my ass tend‘s to eat them more than pfanner pant‘s.
I have Pfanner pants from way back and the have had the ass repaired a few times but they’re are still one of my favs especially in autumn and this time of year

I neglected to mention it in my original post, but compared to work Carhartt's or a similar tough pant, every chainsaw pant I've every had (Notch, Pfanner, Clogger) has been far MORE comfortable. I work in them all day every day, and buy a new pair basically every year. Worth it, and I'd never go back to pants/chaps.

Same I got more than 1 pair of every brand for everyday of the week and gosh damn some wear like sweat pants so comfy

The oldschool I was brought into was to let the saw dangle, and the lanyard must be long enough to keep the saw below your feet.
While I stow the saw the majority of the time I’ll still let it dangle from time to time.
Bigger saws I’m more inclined to let them dangle due to the dawgs
I like that idea for removals. I will try it out for sure.

I prefer no chainsaw pants for climbing and the ground. No underwear either. But do not listen to me.
I recall us being on the same team regarding underwear. I used to NEED tighty whities to feel comfortable, and now I can't stand anything at all.

I have had 2 pairs of the cheap Husky saw pants. That is the only time I don't freeball when I'll wear a thin swimsuit underneath. The protection bunches up tight on my thighs and rips the crotch from front to back. Seems like you won't get the performance a climber needs for less than $300.

Those huskies are terrible compared to the zeroes, I gave mine away.

I bought a pair of the Forester pants. They are comfortable and light. I really don't like the pockets, so I have a phone case on my saddle or in my Diddy bag. I do like the zip down vents on the back and they have both calf protection. I applied for insurance today for some part time work. I'll buy some better ones when I make some money.
