Chainsaw milling, first tries, questions

So the rails are not those in the photo. I was afraid of that. Must be why ladders are used, I have a lot to learn, been looking and there are some real hefty mills available. I wanted something I could take in the woods with me. Read you were never to mill on your knees. I thought that was the only reason for a man to ever be on his knees unless the wife was angry and it was dinner. Jacking a log up in the woods is a lot of work to it, I don't have the right stuff to do it, yet anyway. The log can be rolled around onto slices to cut them up easy enough.

Any of you had any experience with these kit chainsaws. Here is a MS660. I hear that they are close to the real thing and only about $300 delivered in individual parts you assemble so there are no surprises.
