chainsaw carving

don't know anything about it.

But on chainsaw carving, i will show some pics of my ameture stuff when ever I get my scanner to work again. I tried to scan some pics about a month ago and the scanner wouldn't work. maybe it will with my new computer, no hooked up yet.
 
Oh, yeah, and HOW do you put those different smilies in there???????????????? Like the one you put in???????
 
I'd love to see them. I got to talking with the demo carver at the 2004 ITCC, and he clued me in on the "Rendezvous", and I've been planning on it ever since. I guess its the biggest and best gathering of carvers on the planet. There are supposed to be over 200 carvers. The website (Ridgeway Rendezvous) has tons of pictures.

I did a 17' totem pole (my first and favorite), a great horn owl, many simple mushrooms, a large cluster of mushrooms from a big multi-lead silver maple, and hmmmmmm a flower.

just finishing up a "coffee" table that i made from a slice of Black Walnut log. I'll take a picture of it too.
 
Only very little so far, but I wanna learn more so bad. That's why I'm going to Ridgeway. It's hard for me to find a place to carve in the suburbs of Chicago.
 
Maybe I should try my hand at carving, I could set up out back next to my neighbors deck. Think he would /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif upon it?
