For all the specifics just go to our Home page www.baileysonline.com . Here is my personal editorial on the event.
Steve Backus has been turning stumps into art just about his entire life. His true passion is teaching Wood Carving. He's also one of the nicest people you will ever meet (The ironic jest of Steve being a DS in a boot camp). In addition Mike McVay, Susan Miller, Ken Tynan, Jeff Samudosky and Dennis Beach are all top names in the Wood Carving world (Google their names to learn more about them). Besides their carving expertise they all are skilled teachers of the art. Expertise and the ability to teach that expertise are two skill sets that often don't go together, as we all know. So it is beyond rare to get a group like this together.
This coarse is formatted for beginners but naturally, with the quality of instruction being offered, any level of carver will have plenty to feast on. The guts of what I'm getting at is this is maybe a once in a lifetime chance. No where else has such a group been assembled to teach their craft. In two days you will get more insights into the art and business then you could in months, or years, on your own. Myself & a 1/2 dz Bailey's employees will be there at the warehouse to support you and the carvers. But we also wouldn't miss the chance to see this amazing group of carvers do their thing.
Contact me if you have any questions or comments. I live here in Woodland (outside of Sacramento CA) where the event will be (Bailey's whs) so I'm a good local contact. rion@baileys-online.com 1-800-322-4539 ext 270
