certification

Hey everyone,
I am taking my CA exam this week. Does anyone have advice on where to focus my studying for the remaining days until the test?
Thanks

I just took mine a week ago. Beforehand I took an exam prep course, which was mostly just re-iteration of study guide material unfortunately, where I learned that only %60 of people pass the tree ID domain. Another interesting, or scary depending on how you feel about your prep, number that was thrown out was only about %70 of the test questions are taken from the study guide.

"... only %60 of people pass the tree ID domain. "

That is low--Points to the local (if there is one) arboretum/extension center with signs next to trees.

" Another interesting, or scary depending on how you feel about your prep, number that was thrown out was only about %70 of the test questions are taken from the study guide. "

That is a high number imo--wonder if it has always been that high.
Yes the BMPs are good, as is the Harris book. You know your weaker areas--that is where to study.

The CEU tests in the magazine are a good place to practice--free online. ;)

the arborist certification study guide is one of the best, also the harris is good, focus alot on tree biology, soil, urban forestry there are a lot of questions but if you have read the study guide front to back and done the tests at the end of each chapter, then read and do it again right up to the last day before the test. BMP's are good but the other two books are crucial. Good Luck

Know the key terms and definitions for sure, people always seem to sweat the tree ID, however as we all know that portion has changed. Now know how to ID them by characteristics, form, fruit, leaf arrangement, etc. Good Luck.

The test no longer tests individual tree id -
