Captain Crunch: What\'s yours?

Years ago, I used to love Captain Crunch cereal.

Hadn't eaten it in years, until about 3 weeks ago when I bought a box. Seems I'm back on it again.

Was at the store last week, and they had it on sale 3 boxes / $5. Got 6 boxes of it.

Anyhow, its one of my favorite "dessert" cereals.

Anyone else have an old favorite?

Wow. I haven't had that stuff in years. I hardley eat cereal anymore. I usualy eat 2 scrambled eggs (with cheese) wrapped in a tortilla (with Chipotle Tabasco sauce). Ummmm.

But with cereal, I gravitate towards the whole-grainy, healthier type.


I'm a sucker for ice cream though.

French toast drizzled with maple syrup with some quality bacon.

maybe have that about once a year if I'm lucky, rest of the time its some boring cereal like oats.

How about french toast made with french bread dipped in eggnog then cooked in a little bacon gristle for that crispy shine. Top it with some Vermont maple syrup. Or.. oatmeal.

you guys are WAY off the subject!!!!! We are talking about unhealthy, good tasting, sugar filled goodness that you pour milk on........


i got off eating like this for years until my kids started eating Fruit Loops(at Grandma's House)..... man those things are addictive!


and none of that sissy skim water! milk was ment to be drinken straight out of the teet(ok that was gross)

I was in the Betty Ford for awhile due to an unhealthy attraction to Fruity Pebbles...

I have to say I am thrilled about the breakfast possibilities after moving "south". Became a big fan of grits and sausage gravy and biscuits during my time in the Army.

What's so weird about it? I've know that stuff about milk for years, that's why I drink skim milk. I love milk, but it's actually like drinking a milkshake. Way too many calories, fat, and other bad things in it for me to ingest.
