The start is right now. They come close to my igloo and go right through my friend's front yard. Local musher has won in the past. -33c, 4-6 feet of snow, slush on the lakes, should be a good one.

Sounds intense. I know that I couldn't do that because I value my appendages.

It sounds like a patients game; you have to control your dogs and know when to give them a break.

The local guy's dogs can run the course in the dark because they train on it. Go doggies. The race starts 30km from my house and turns around 30km from my cabin. Glad I have a truck and a skidoo. A support vehicle just stopped in front of my house. My dog wants to join them.

Many teams have dropped out. The local's in the lead and a Queen's Bench Judge is still in the running. They're heading for home with almost no rest.

There's an Aussie (Cool Runnings - Eddie The Eagle) in there with only four months experience. He was in second for awhile.

The local won, female second, judge (who is also local) third. One for the home team.
