Hey Folks,

My dad lives in Marietta, GA and has two large silver maple trees that just experienced some potentially severe root damage due to the beloved excavator pruning technique from a water main installation. He's concerned about the trees declining and interested in doing a tree risk assessment to see if we can save them or if they need to go. I am up in New England and don't know folks down south, so I was curious if y'all could help me find someone up to our high standards to give a solid assessment for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have him or you go to the Georgia Arborists assn. website, georgiaarborist.org. there is a listing of qualified individuals there to choose from. I am 2.5 hours south of him so it would not be something that I would want to do unless absolutely necessary. Good luck, gotta love those root pruning excavators.
