I doubt it, since trees of the same kind would have different closure rates according to their health, age etc. Besides, there is nothing you can do to accelerate wound closure other than making the correct cut.
 
Ummmm i thought part of the reason for no sprays, is that some could artificially spped up closure faster tahn was healthy?

I think our Live Oaks are more aggressive closers; as they in all ways seem to tend to long term goals, than immediate height. They are my favborite local example of the targeted processes that other trees do/should reach for, but seem to fall short of, trading spped of growth for quality of growth.
