BuckTube Rope Bag

Oh yea that one. I think some people were saying it would be handy for crane assisted tree removals to have it on your leg. Also others couldn't get past the fact about how expensive it is.

From what I remember its smaller than most rope bags. Only fits 150 feet of 11mm rope, and thats pushing it. Might get 120 feet of Lava or Posion Ivy rope to fit in, but I have my doubts. I could be wrong, but when these first came out thats how they were. Maybe they changed.

I used to climb a lot with this rope bag.

I liked it because I could go up SRT up an ascent line, have my DDRT line in this bag and just start climbing when I reached the top of the SRT line, and then when I reached my TIP decide where to drop the rope and bag. On big conifer climbs when you are zigzaging your way through the canopy it works pretty well.

(i love when a story starts with that line) that cut the side of a rope bag and put a stretch top ditty bag style portal on the bottom of the bag and sewed some back pack style straps on the bag. pretty much the bomb in my opinion. i have been thinking of making one out of the mesh hobby climber bag.
