Buckingham bridge replacement

I recently upgraded from my 8 yr. old Buckingham saddle (I believe it's the Traverse, dual sliding D's on a rubberized webbing bridge, with bosun seat) for two reasons:

1. The bridge was wearing pretty hard on the under side. Worn through almost two of the 4 layers of folded webbing.

And 2. I wanted a lighter, lower profile saddle (really liking the Dragonfly II). Plus, I would have no backup while the Buckingham is being repaired (the webbing bridge is sewn on at the hips).

Other than the bridge, the Traverse is perfectly functional and I'd like to keep it as a trainer/backup. I have emailed Buckingham in regards to replacement with no answer in a week and a half. I plan on calling them, but would just like to see if anyone has had them replace anything like this, or do work on used saddles. Any input?

That's my bet, too. I plan on calling them this week. It'd be a shame to throw out a perfectly good saddle just because it was made before the replaceable bridge. Wouldn't it be MORE of a liability if I just kept climbing on it?

Got ahold of Buckingham. They told me to contact the distributor where it was bought and could be dealt with through them. After 3 weeks with two unanswered emails, I can't help but think they are beating around the bush to tell me no, they won't replace my bridge. I will contact Shelter Tree and see what they say....
