Bucket truck parts

This past summer I purchased a 2008 GMC 7500 bucket truck with a 8.1 L gas motor. It has been a great addition so far. It had a starting issue and a check engine light on. It went to the mechanic. He checked it out and fixed the light (had a bad sensor). He also found that the harmonic balancer was broken. Thats where the struggle arose. We cant find one. GM says the part is discontinued (so thats wiched helpful). I have been scouring the after market websites and am coming up empty as well. I my next move is going to be to call junk yards. I would obviously rather a new one. So here is the ask, do any of you know of a good source for parts for this motor? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Advance Auto Parts website claims to be able to ship you one, and Rock Auto shows them in stock; those might be options for you to order one.

I tried both. For advance auto they vaporize as soon as you try to check out. Rock auto doesnt have a 7500 listed and the part number from GMC doesnt pull anything up on their site. I was gonna try to call them tomorrow.

Maybe try a different model of truck with the same engine
Like 6500 or 5500 should be the same balancer as long it’s the same engine

Solid theory. I am going to have my mechanic pull the old one for comparison
