I got a call this morning to go look at a storm damaged Acer saccarum. Cable company is going to remove the one limb on the lines, the rest will feel the wrath of my 440 mag.
As I was surveying the damage, 4 guys (in the back of a dump trailer pulled by a beat-up old ford) stopped to ask if I needed any help.... Good storms really seem to bring out the yahoos! I saw 3 similar outfits on the other side of town this afternoon.
Upon further inspection of the property, I noticed this little beauty in the back yard. Two static cables were installed on both lower leaders about 15 years ago. The cable on the one over the house (it's always the one over the house) broke last year during storm season. I sold the cable job and canopy clean, and the SD clean-up.
