Branchy Maple Removal

Nice work!

Okay, I gotta say something... Bend those knees a little with that stump cut. My back hurts just watching.

I'm sure Ricky has his own reasons.

Dylan. I used to ask the same thing when I saw front yard tree removals being done with a crane. I'd say, "You can rig it, or flop it right there. Why the crane?"

But, I've learned a couple of things to justify putting a crane on nearly every tree removal:

Less wear and tear on the climber (me).
If, the loads are just right, it can be relatively easy on a groundsman.

I can do 3 decent sized tree removals in one day.

My favorite reason; cranes attract a crowd! Every crane job I've done, I have people watching. Sometimes people will, pull over in their car, let their dog poop on someone's lawn for an extra 10 minutes, kids stop their bikes, neighbors get out the patio furniture and bring their cameras, and the best thing is, the neighbors want cards. There are many "impressions" being made on a tree removal with a crane. I believe, with out a crane, people will simply pass by or glance over to see what is going on and not really pay attention to the work, or the company doing the work.

I think all those wires was a good enough reason.

Ricky, was that you in the tree? Nice cutting.

Is it the editing, or is the crane-op new to treework....why so slow on such a tree, what am I missing?

Reg, the crane op is a new one. Nothing like the last guy but he don't come down our way anymore. The crane op needs to throttle up and winch down and swing all at once but... The tree was surrounded and over hydro services and about 10 bell and cable lines. Hydro in this town where the tree was are real slow at coming out and a bunch of pricks. The video does not really depict the size of the wood over the roof. Thanks for all the comments! Appreciate it.. and yes it was me.

I agree why the crane...seemed to take over the entire street...and for the wires...ever hear of a safety zone? A job well done...but the time it took to setup all that equipment up I know some arborists that could have have the tree apart...

Hey here I thought all the loudmouths were at the ASSite. Like a said before... and if you did some video of your own you might know... you video you watch show little of the circumstances and the situation. Drift!

Set up took 5 minutes! Really, have that taken apart in 5..This isn't Minute Rice.
