Boxwood Leaf Minors

Wondering if anyone has ever used Orthene 97 to control Boxwood Leaf Minor. It was recommended by a very good pesticide applicator as an inexpensive alternate to Safari. How much do you mix per gallon?

We have the fact sheet, but just want to be sure. Used more for farm crops though, so we want to be sure its ok to use as a treatment for Boxwood Leaf Minor.

Thanks.

Orthene is an old school organophosphate pesticide. If used regularly blood testing for applicators should be in place as it is a cholinesterase inhibitor. The newer synthetic pyrethroids are much more "user friendly" and just as effective against boxwood leaf miners.
