Boots???

The flat soled Redwings I use for footlocking aren't available anymore and I'm gonna cry when they finally give out (8 yr old boots, 4 years of daily work). I got some Wesco highliners for spurring and other methods of climbing and I gotta say, they were worth the coin. My ankles thank me every day I wear 'em.

Ended up getting the Trango S Evo's today. Surprised how stiff they are. First pair of mountaineering boots I've bought. Been using hiking boots in the past. I really think I'm going to like these boots, hopefully get a chance to try them out these week and at the IN climbing comp.

When I first got my Klima Air boots, which are basically a mountaineering boot specifically designed for tree climbing, they were still as well, but soon broke in nicely.

I'm sure that your Trango's will do the same.

Nice. These are designed with a plastic shank through the sole of the boot so one can wear crampons with it. Think they'll work out great overall, because they are stiff enough for spikes and light enough for everyday climbing.

You will love the Trango boots. I've been wearing them for about 4 years. My first pair lasted over 3 years.

I have a pair of the la sportiva trangos and I love them. I've had them for over a year and they are still waterproof and comfortable. Best boot I've owned!
