Boom Lubricant

I can only speak for the Palfinger recommend products. The part number for the EP+ is in the owners manual and this product is specifically designed for Palfinger. It's best to consult the manual IMHO (if they have a specific product)
Animal fat!?

Animal fat!?
The frequent lube is synthetic. There is a recommended animal fat applied once a year at the annual inspection shot way down the boom with a very expensive pneumatic applicator. The EP+ is the synthetic and has a hardening agent as well. I have tested and evaluated a bunch of products since its so expensive but nothing performed like the EP+ and thats what Palfinger has in the owners manual so thats what I buy at >$50 a can. Can lasts 2 months maybe less depending on how often the boom needs it aside from the monthly application.

Not aerosol?
Here is what the email said:

One big plus of non arisol might be that shipping could be reasonable. I bought 4 or 6 cans of arisol spray Interflon and they charged me about $60 shipping from one coast to the other.

Then I went to ship 2 cans on to a member that had been very helpful to me here and extremely generous of his time and shipping was $50 to get them back across the US. Arisol has to go ground.

Also, maybe easier for a mask to block non-arisol spray of Teflon while applying.
