Blue moon

i read that post and it got me thinking. I wasn't sure if calling blue moon PI was accurate or not. Thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated.

I don't think that anyone in writing (on the internet anyway) has said its the exact same rope. The only thing close is Knot & Rope say that if you like PI you will like blue moon.

I checked the specs from Bailey's for bluemoon and PI from sherrill and they are both 11.7 mm (sherrill measurement is 12mm for PI, funny they measure lava/ tachayon is 1mm thicker than NE advertise @ 12.5mm, anyway) .065 per ft wt., tensile strength of 6,500 ibs and elongation of < 2%. Both made by Yale.

If yale would update their website to include these ropes it may answer our questions. Maybe the knowledgeable rope people could chime in?

But that would violate the law that requires information on rope manufacturing websites to be at least 6 years old and contain as few details as possible.

It is the exact same rope - except for the colors.
