BigShot Release Snap

I just gave mine away. I didn't need it.

I use mine quite a bit. In fact I extended my pole so I could pull the snubbers back farther. So far in fact the tension needed to hold the snubbers by hand is dreadful. So the quick release is a godsend.

I realized also by reading some of the posts on the buzz here that my modification on the big shot exceeds the safe working limits it was designed for. I haven't broke anything yet. With 4 oz sinker and 20 lb. mono on a large spool real.... over 200 feet!

That's a heck of a generous give away, Butch.

I rarely use the BS, but when I do I use a quick-release snap. I like being able to tension the BS and aim at my leisure. I bought a similar snap for about 5 bux at Ace hardware. It may not work as smoothly as the version Sherrill sells, but it works well enough for me.
